We are Belgian Malinois lovers, rescuers and hobby breeders living near Austin, Texas. Our first Malinois came to us 20 years ago and we were instantly hooked. Mojo went onto be a police K9 but we have had a variety of well bred and rescue Malinois since him. Our current dogs are all AKC/FCI ringsport lines. We are currently primarily competing in PSA and are enjoying learning the sport and the challenges it brings. We also train and/or compete in a variety of other sports like dock diving, scentwork, coursing, obedience, rally and agility. All potential breeding dogs are worked and fully health tested to OFA CHIC standards and are Embark’ed. Stud service is available to approved females.
Christina has been raising, training and competing with dogs in a variety of sports for twenty years. Ron is formerly the sergeant over the Austin Police K9 Unit before retiring as a lieutenant.
Most of our dogs go to homes to compete or work. We will have dogs available for the bite work sports such as PSA, ringsport and IPO/IGP/AS but we also value and breed for temperaments acceptable for search and rescue, detection/scentwork, dock diving, agility, etc. We do breed toward the large size of the standard as our ideal dog is a large, social, stable, hard working, hard gripping dog. We greatly value hunt drive and odor work skills and specifically breed toward dogs that will excel in those venues.
From time to time, we do have puppies suitable for active companion homes. Since we breed higher threshold, social dogs, we will place lower drive puppies in committed pet homes. Our dogs are only placed as service dogs on a very limited basis but we occasionally have a suitable dog for someone training with a professional trainer or program. Pet dogs are sold registered but with a non-breeding agreement as we are dedicated to preserving the Malinois for its original purpose as a working dog.
